We are delighted to announce the arrival of two new signings at Bridge Road, defender Ollie Brookes and midfielder Pat Bexfield.

29 year old centre-half Brookes arrives from Shelford where he has been playing since returning from a spell in Russia as a PE teacher. He has previously played for Ely City and Fulbourn amongst others and was with Torpedo Moscow when in Russia.

Lance had this to say about his new addition to the squad “Ollie comes in having impressed at Great Shelford this season after a spell working overseas and he’ll bring a commanding presence into our back line. He’s a good acquisition to the squad and his experience and maturity will be a big help to the team.”

We are also pleased to confirm the return of midfielder Pat Bexfield who left Bridge Road in the summer of 2020 to concentrate on building up his Personal Trainer business. Bexfield returns to the squad bringing plenty of experience with him and Lance is pleased to be able to welcome a versatile and experienced player back into his squad “we’re delighted to have Pat back” said the Gaffer “he brings vast experience and maturity to an inexperienced squad. He’s well known for his tenacity in the midfield and we’ll welcome that into the team.”

Brookes goes straight into the squad for the Soham game but Bexfield’s return to action will not be until after 10th October.
