Tonight we finally get the chance to welcome Coggeshall Town in our rearranged league fixture.
Town sit in 6th place in the table at the moment, just outside the play-off places but with a game or two in hand of one or two teams around them and are in with a great chance of securing a place in the end of season battle for promotion. Currently on a run of three wins from their last four games they will see tonight as a chance to close the gap on the teams just ahead of them.
Nnamdi Nwachuku is on fine form in front of goal with the striker finding the net 6 times in the 5 games since his on/off move to Cambridge City fell through and he returned to the Seed Growers and will clearly need close attention tonight if he is to be stopped from adding to that tally.
Lance will be looking to put right the result from our last meeting, a 1-5 defeat in early January that many Stutes supporters will remember as a strange game that perhaps we could and should have gotten something from. The last meeting between the two sides at Bridge Road came in January 2018 when goals from James Carman and Will Lawton saw us take all three points although that didn’t stop Town from going on to win the ECL title later that season.
