We welcome another of the teams that are chasing top spot in the Pitching In Northern Premier League Midlands Division tomorrow when Belper Town are our visitors at The Bridge.

The Nailers were our first opponents this season when we went to their Raygar Stadium home but despite a debut goal from Alex Stevens-Lee we weren’t able to bring any points home, going down to a 1-2 defeat. Town’s early season form was a bit patchy but they have really hit their stride in the last couple of months with last Saturday’s 0-2 home reverse to fellow promotion-hopefuls Chasetown bringing a run of six straight league wins to an end.

Our own side continues to evolve and we are picking up points on a more regular basis now. Last Saturday’s 1-1 draw at Daventry Town could have been a valuable three-pointer on another day but Lance and the squad are visibly growing more confident with every passing week. Danny Gould returned to the line-up at Daventry and his impact was immediate, as was Andy Ballester’s now that the defender has hopefully put his two month injury struggle behind him and who marked his return with a well taken equaliser. Lance will also be able to call on Charlie Lewis tomorrow whilst Evan Key continues to build fitness and should also be available. On the negative side tomorrow’s game will likely come a week too early for Ryan Towner although the influential midfielder is close to a return whilst Manu Ramirez will be out for a while after suffering a hamstring tear in the final minutes last weekend, a real blow for the Spaniard who had made an impressive full debut in that game. Tomorrow may also be a week too early for Ollie Brookes and Pat Bexfield but both will be assessed ahead of kick-off and could be involved.

Help us to speed up entry into the ground by getting your tickets in advance through our online ticket site here. Once you have an eTicket it’s just a simple scan when you get here and you’re in, no more standing in the cash turnstile queue! We are also able to take contactless payment but if you want to pay cash then that is fine too, just remember that the cash turnstile can get a bit busy as we near kick-off so try and get here in good time.

See you there!

Kick-off at 3pm.

Turnstiles open at 1.30pm
