Our Men’s First team booked a place in the next round of the FA Vase on Saturday thanks to a convincing 4-1 victory at Stowmarket Town. The win was a reversal of the outcome in our previous visit to the same venue back in August when the Suffolk side eliminated us from the FA Cup. But on this occasion, goals from Max York, Connor Barnes, Luke Young and Marcus Cole ensured we are in the draw for the First Round Proper. The next round is due to be staged on Saturday 19th October.

The previous night, our Under 18s side also had cause to celebrate after winning 4-0 at Shefford Town & Campton in the FA Youth Cup First Qualifying Round with Johannes Kappeler scoring a hattrick for the Stutes. With our Reserves side rounded off a good weekend for the club with a 5-0 win over Fordham. There was, however, disappointment for our Ladies side on Sunday as they went out of the Women’s FA Cup against higher level opposition at Needham Market.
Next up at Bridge Road is our Under 18s ECYL game against Saffron Walden on Tuesday night, kicking off at 7.45pm.
