Histon Football Club is proud of the facilities that it has at Bridge Road, though the club face a constant challenge to keep our stadium looking in a most presentable condition.
During the month of June there is set to be a number of stadium maintenance days in which we will freshen up the ground with annual tasks including the following; clearing overgrowth from the entrance footway, the cleaning of the 1500+ seats within the ground, repairing and painting of fencing, cleaning of and removal of advertising hoardings, whilst inside there are various areas that will need a general tidy up and a lick of paint.
There shall also be some larger projects that will take place, such as the replacement of much of the flooring within the Steve Fallon Stand, with such works being carried out by contractors between now and pre-season.
We are seeking assistance on Saturday June 17th and again the following weekend on Saturday June 24th and Sunday June 25th from 9am onwards. All help would be very much appreciated, even if only an hour or two can be spared.
Whilst there are various tools at the stadium, it would be appreciated if volunteers could bring items such as brooms, shovels, wheelbarrows etc. to make light work of the jobs ahead.
