Velocity Trophy Group 3

Tuesday night’s Velocity Trophy game at Bridge Road saw us play out a 1-1 draw with Soham Town Rangers but Danny Gould’s penalty in the shoot-out earned us the extra bonus point that keeps us at the top of the Group 3 table with one game left to go.
Youth teamers Alfie Lawrence and Christian Carter made their first senior starts as Lance made a few changes for this one but when Josh James put the visitors ahead with 15 minutes to go it looked like it wasn’t to be our night. James Chvers had other ideas though, rising high to head George Coy’s cross into the far corner with 5 minutes left on the clock in normal time.
Sam Roach then made two fine saves in the shoot-out before Gould finally sealed the extra point.
