Buildbase FA Vase 5th Round

Our run in the Vase came to an end at the hands of Northwich Victoria this afternoon at The Glassworld. Dan Brown put us ahead in the 64th minute with a superb finish over Daniel Taberner in the Northwich goal but the lead only lasted 7 minutes as Daryll Mason headed home from close range to even things up.
The scores were still level at 90 minutes but three minutes into extra time Mason got his second of the game to give the visitors the lead. Things got harder for us just before the break when Matt Green saw red and despite going close a couple of times it wasn’t to be for us. Our fate was sealed just before the final whistle when Brian Matthews broke free to finish past Roach.
