Emirates FA Cup Preliminary Round

Ed Rolph’s early second half strike proved to be the winner as we progressed into the next round of the FA Cup in an entertaining game at Ram Meadow yesterday afternoon.
In a lively opening to the game Evan Key had given us a 10th minute lead with a well placed shot from the edge of the area but the hosts cancelled out the advantage with a Ryan Stafford equaliser just 7 minutes later.
Danny Gould played Rolph through one on one with the keeper soon after the re-start and the striker made no mistake with a calm finish past Daniel Barden and despite a late red card for Evan Key we stood firm under pressure in the closing stages to close out the game.
