We continue our pre-season schedule at Bridge Road on Saturday with the annual Stephen Parker Memorial match, which this year is against Holbeach United of the Eastern Counties League Division One North.
If results are anything to go by, preparations for the 2025/26 season are going well with three wins out of three. The latest victory came against Eynesbury United on Thursday night with new signing Danny Baulk finding the net for the third time in three games. This followed a highly entertaining match the previous Tuesday night against a Lakenheath side that included former Stutes Matt Hayden and Bubba Camara. The Stutes won the game 2-1 with goals from Connor Barnes and the returning Mar-Lee Fisher, but the star of the night was the Lakenheath goalkeeper who pulled off a string of outstanding saves to keep his side in the game.
Saturday’s game is followed by our final pre-season outing on Tuesday night when we take on Biggleswade Town. We then go into UCL Premier League South action at Bugbrooke St Michaels the following Saturday 26th July.
The Stephen Parker Memorial game this Saturday kicks off at 12 noon and commemorates the life of one of our most devoted supporters from First team to Under 18’s and Ladies teams. “Stevo” was taken from us in 2020 after a battle with cancer aged just 40 years. He remains deeply missed but will be forever remembered by his many friends at Histon FC.
