The United Counties League has now released the fixtures for the first few weeks of the 2025/26 season and has given the Stutes a trip to Bugbrooke United to get our league campaign under way on Saturday 26th July. We will then face local rivals March Town United followed by Coventry United, both at Bridge Road, before visiting Yaxley for a second local derby game of the new season.
The opening game at Bugbrooke could be seen as a somewhat gentle starter as the Badgers had a troubled season in 2024/25, ending up third from bottom in the final league table. However, they beat us 2-1 in the same fixture last year and were probably a better side than their league position suggests.
After the trip to Bugbrooke we will have three consecutive home matches, starting with last season’s play-offs qualifiers March Town United on Tuesday 29th July. We then entertain Thetford Town in an FA Cup Extra Preliminary Round tie on Saturday 2nd August followed by Coventry United on Saturday 9th August. All three games will kick off at 3.00pm. The last of our fixtures to be announced by the UCL so far is at Yaxley on Tuesday 12th August.
The full league schedule for the 2025/26 campaign should become available shortly. When it is, it will be posted on the club website and announced on our other social media platforms.
