After a promising opening half an hour during which time both sides’ attacking play could have resulted in goals, Northwood took the lead through a fine 30 yard free kick which Louis Stead fired into the top corner. Two more home strikes just before the break gave Northwood a three goal lead at half time which was somewhat harsh on us but effectively had already put the game to bed.

Again the second half started brightly with Matty Allan and Olly Habergham going close before the home side rammed home their advantage in the last quarter of an hour with three more goals.

Steve Fallon and his squad have no game this weekend due to Beaconsfield SYCOB’s involvement in The FA Cup but are back in action on Monday evening when we travel to St Ives to take on Cambridge City in the League Cup where the Manager will no doubt be hoping to welcome back a number of the squad from injury.
