HISTON v Eynesbury Rovers

Isuzu FA Vase 2nd Qualifying Round
Saturday 23rd September 2023, kick-off @ 3.00pm

Match Sponsored by

Tomorrow afternoon we welcome Eynesbury Rovers to Bridge Road for our Isuzu FA Vase 2nd Qualifying Round tie. A place in the First Round Proper is up for grabs for the winner before we head to Rovers’ Alfred Hall Memorial Ground on Tuesday to meet again in the league after a run of 6 games in a row at The Bridge.

Rovers saw off Yaxley in the last Round, winning 5-4 on penalties after a 1-1 draw at the Toojays Stadium and are coming off the back of a 2-0 win over Godmanchester Rovers in the league on Tuesday evening. Rhys Thorpe bagged both of those goals for Rovers and the ex-Histon striker has 7 goals to his name in all competitions so far this season.

Our own form continues to frustrate, with last Saturday’s welcome three points against Coventry United followed up by a disappointing reverse against St Neots Town on Tuesday. Recent signings Lewis Mair and Matty Allan are both cup-tied for this game so Lance will need to juggle his starting line-up again.

Please note, Season Tickets are NOT valid for this game.

The Bar and Burger Bar will both be open as usual too with cash and contactless payment available at both.  Live Premier League footy will be on after the game in the bar so why not stay a bit later and enjoy a pint whilst watching! The Burger Bar is supplied by Histon Chop Shop whose burgers and sausages are hand made to order for the club whilst we also offer Pukka Pies, as well as chips (of course!).

Turnstiles open at 1.30pm.
