Thurlow Nunn ECL Premier Division
Saturday 7th October 2017

A disappointing outcome at Cricket Field Road on Saturday afternoon as things didn’t go our way from the start. Keeper Ayden Duffy was carried off midway through the first half after being knocked unconscious in a challenge which resulted in a penalty for the home side. Midfielder Evan Key was the man to don the keepers’ gloves and pulled off a great save low to his left to keep the penalty out but that wasn’t the end of the penalty action though as Town were awarded two more, both of which were converted.

Manager Lance Key was of course disappointed with the result but will draw some positives from the way his side created numerous chances going forward.

Key will want to put this game behind him quickly and move on with Cambridge United Development coming to The Glassworld on Tuesday evening in the Cambs FA Invitation Cup before before Wivenhoe Town are the visitors on Saturday afternoon when we are back in league action.
