Our long unbeaten run finally came to an end on Saurday as we went down 1-2 at Long Melford. Joe Sutton’s second half strike not enough for a share of the points

Scott Sloots put the home side ahead five minutes before half time.

Hassan Ally added a second for the home side on the hour before Joe Sutton reduced the arrears with 20 minutes left on the clock but it wasn’t enough to salvage a point in the end.

Whilst obviously disappointed the Gaffer gave full credit to the hosts. “We didn’t get going until it was too late” said Lance, “credit to Melford, they were really up for it and gave it everything. Joe Sutton’s goal and a late penalty appeal when Joe was brought down could have gotten us out of jail but they deserved it so no qualms there. We’ve had a great run and now we need to start another one next week against Wroxham.”
