We got back to winning ways last night with a good win over Saffron Walden Town at The Glassworld.
Lee Smith gave us the lead with a great strike from distance on 27 minutes before keeper Luke Knight saved a penalty to preserve our lead.
Tommy Wright soon added a second though with 38 minutes on the clock and soon after half time Smith latched on to Evan Key’s header to smash the ball home from close range following Max York’s throw into the box.
With 20 minutes to go Walden’s hopes of a comeback were thwarted by Knight as he saved a second spot kick to keep the score at 3-0 and see us through to the next Round.
