Thurlow Nunn ECL Premier Division
Saturday 29th December 2018

Salim Relizani came off the bench on his return to Bridge Road this afternoon to earn us a point with both goals as we came from behind twice against Walsham Le Willows. Ryan Gibbs had given the visitors a deserved first half lead just before the break as we struggled to find our rhythm against a good Walsham side. Relizani entered the fray in the 51st minute and 10 minutes later was on the end of Pat Bexfield’s free kick to side foot us level. Walsham restored their lead with 15 minutes to go when George Bugg converted from the spot but with less than 10 minutes left on the clock Relizani got us level again with a pearler of a left footed strike from well outside the area to set up a grandstand finish in which both sides went for the win and both came close. There was to be no final twist though and the game ended with honours shared.
