It is with great sadness that we at Histon FC learned of the passing of Graham Muncey last week at the age of 95. Graham was known by everybody here and over the course of more than 80 years he played for and supported the club in every possible role both on and off the pitch along with his much missed wife Muriel and daughter Val.
At the request of the family, we will hold a minute’s silence to pay our respects ahead of our game against Mulbarton Wanderers in the FA Cup next Saturday 30th August.
The family have also asked us to announce details of the funeral, which is to be held on Wednesday 10th September at 1.15pm in the West Chapel at Cambridge Crematorium. All are welcome and also to join the family at the Red Lion and St St Andrews Centre in Histon afterwards.
Any donations in Gaham’s memory (no flowers please) to the Alzheimers Society or to the Stroke Unit at Addenbrookes Hospital can be made through Richard Stebbings Funeral Service in Histon.
