Pitching In Isthmian League North Division
Tuesday 29th September 2020

Charlie Lewis was the match winner as he headed home his first goal in a Histon shirt deep into injury time at the Simarco Stadium yesterday to give us all three points and our second away win of the 2020/21 season.

Ed Rolph had given us an early lead only five minutes in when a loose ball in the area fell nicely for him to smash into the roof of the net from close range. Despite the early setback the home side grew into the game and threatened to get back on terms. They had to wait until nearly an hour was on the clock before getting that equaliser though, Greg Akpele levelling things up with another close range finish on 57 minutes.

It looked like the points were going to be shared until deep into added time Max York’s throw into the box was perfect for Lewis to guide his header past Rhys Madden. That was the final action of the match as the Referee blew for time straight after the re-start.
