The Football Club is looking to strengthen its Board to bring on individuals who want to be an integral part in helping to grow the club in the correct manner.
The roles we are looking to fill are:
Company Secretary
This role will oversee and manage the administrative tasks within the club and ensure that the Company operates in accordance with set policies, procedures, processes & rules. This does sound daunting but for a company of our size then these will mostly include:
- Organising Board Meetings
- Plan Meetings
- Set Agenda’s
- Take and write up minutes
- Maintain the clubs Shareholding Records
- Maintain Companies House records (Help will be on hand for this)
Board Member
This is more of a constructive role and gives supporters a chance of more involvement without the full directors’ responsibility.
- Be part of the overall management team of the club
- Attend monthly board meetings
- An Opportunity to have more input in the overall running and the direction of the club
- Bring new ideas, opinions and skills to the board
- You will not have full voting powers at Board Meetings
Board Director
As above but:
- Have full legal and financial responsibility for the club
- Have full voting powers at Board Meetings
I know that there has been concern expressed in the past about the historic football club debts. Can I let it be known that a Board Director does not need to make a financial contribution to become a Board Director, and we would be happy to discuss any issues or concerns a potential applicant may have re the club’s financial position which is now in a very stable position.
