Saturday’s result against Coventry United was a sore one to take, but there is no time to lick our wounds this week as we head off to Yaxley for a United Counties League fixture on Tuesday evening.
Our host have failed to win any of their four games so far this season, but they came from behind to snatch a draw at Easington Sports last time out, and despite their poor form, they will no doubt be looking for a repeat of the 2-0 defeat they inflicted on us in this fixture last season.
Stand-in managers Matt and Mark will be hoping to have a few more bodies available to them for this game as the hectic start to the season is already taking its toll. The return of Connor Barnes and Jake Kerins would be a welcome boost to the squad and add some much needed experience.
The support from the travelling Stutes fans at Thetford last Tuesday was absolutely outstanding and helped carry the team to a late victory. The same again this week would be highly appreciated by everyone involved with the club.
