Rugby Borough v HISTON

United Counties League Premier Division South
Saturday 16th December 2023, kick-off @ 2.00pm

After the weather disrupted the last couple of weeks we should finally get back to league action tomorrow when we travel to Rugby Borough’s Nationwide Windows Arena.

Borough are 4 points ahead of us in the table (although having played 2 games more) in 14th place and will no doubt be looking to pay us back for their 0-6 defeat at Bridge Road last month. Their games can’t be said to be dull affairs as their three matches since then have all seen at least 6 goals scored with 3-3 and 4-4 draws in their last two and their 7 goals being scored by 6 different players.

Stutes Gaffer Chris Nunn is itching to get back into action after two Saturdays off but was delighted with the performance in between those two postponements when his side progressed to the semi-finals of the Cambs Invitation Cup at the expense of league high flyers March Town United.

One obvious benefit to a couple of weekends off has been allowing one or two players to recover from injury which means that Danny Gould, Luke Crisp and Ed Rolph should all be fit and Will Summerfield will be available after returning to the club from Bedford Town. Jim Burnside and Jake Kerins will both miss out through suspension though.

Kick-off is at 2pm.

Stadium Address: Nationwide Windows Arena, Kilsby Lane, Rugby, CV21 4PN.

Driving time from Bridge Road: approx 1 hour 20 mins (70 miles).
