March Town United v HISTON

United Counties League Premier Division South
Saturday 21st October 2023, kick-off @ 3.00pm

We’re on the road again on Saturday as we travel to Robingoodfellows Lane to take on March Town United in the UCL Premier Division South.

After last week’s defeat at Daventry, new Gaffer Chris Nunn has now had a chance to get to know his squad a bit better after taking his first training sessions this week. Saturday was a difficult introduction to the club for him and having to deal with an almost complete absence of midfielders didn’t make it any easier. After bringing in Jake Kerins and Jim Burnside hours before last Saturday’s game he has been active again this week, bringing ex-Histon Scholar Joe Sutton back to Bridge Road to bolster that midfield whilst also announcing his coaching staff.

As well as those new players Chris will also have the benefit of being able to call on one or two others that have been missing recently. Bubba Camara has completed his suspension and is available whilst Harvey Bullinaria is back in contention. As well as those two, striker Ed Rolph is fit again and will be in the squad. Efraim Romanos is a doubt though and whilst Luke Crisp is close to a return he will miss out this week although he may well be back in contention next week.

We’ve already played the Hares this season of course when they took the points home with them after beating us 1-0 at Bridge Road in early August. Since then they have gone from strength to strength and a run of four straight league wins has them only a point behind league leaders St Neots Town but with a game in hand.

Stadium address: Robingoodfellows Lane, March, Cambs, PE15 8HS.

Driving time from Bridge Road approx. 45 minutes (28 miles).
