Histon Football Club is seeking a Volunteer Matchday Media Assistant, with the aim of increasing quality content to further engage and grow the club’s social media audience.

The position would require attendance at Men’s First Team fixtures, which are predominantly held on Saturday afternoons with the occasional Tuesday evening and Bank Holiday game.

The main responsibility of the Media Assistant will be to provide informative and accurate matchday updates via the club’s official Twitter feed. In addition to this, further roles and responsibilities are listed below, however not limited to:

  • Creating engaging and eye-catching content such as gif’s, matchday posters, video clips etc.
  • Complete a brief pre-match interview with the Manager.
  • Conduct post-match interview with players/management.

Other small, yet key roles may be required, particularly prior to home fixtures.

It is key that the person undertaking the role understands that the reputation of Histon Football Club is paramount. Therefore, it is imperative that the Assistant portrays a fair and balanced view of all affairs, both on and off the pitch. Candidates must be prepared to work with the utmost respect to confidential information that they may be subject to knowledge of.
