We’re not saying that our game against Godmanchester Rovers was short on exciting goalmouth action, but even our video camera decided to lay down in the sunshine and doze off to sleep midway through the first half. Despite being woken up at half time, it was soon laying prostrate on the grass again just after play resumed, no doubt helped there by the strong wind howling down the ground that made the game extremely difficult for both sets of players. An 85th minute shot by Danny Baulk that rebounded off the foot of a post was the closest either side came to scoring but results elsewhere mean that we are still hanging onto a place in the play-offs as things stand.
The camera will be firmly anchored to the ground at Eynesbury on Monday afternoon when we hope it will record a rip-roaring local derby to round off a happy Easter weekend for all Stutes fans. We hope to see you there.
