Histon FC can confirm that after a highly successful association with the youth setup at Bridge Road our Under 18s Manager Lee Keen has decided to step down at the end of the current season. Lee has been a part of our youth academy setup for the past five years and took over as Under 18s Manager at the start of the 2025/26 season. His side went on to win their section of the Thurlow Nunn Youth League in emphatic fashion with a near-perfect record of 17 wins from 18 games and conceding just six goals along the way.
Lee has served the club with an energy and passion that has rubbed off on many of his players, several of which have broken into the First team this season. We wish him well and all the very best of luck in whatever he does next.
The club has acted quickly to appoint Lee’s successor and we are pleased to announce that our existing U15s & U16s Manager Ross Wilday has agreed to accept the role for next season. Ross comes with a wealth of experience in coaching youth football, much of which was gained at Royston FC. Ross commented, “I would like to wish Lee all the very best for the future, and I hope to build on the strong foundations put in place by him and his predecessors.”
