Emirates FA Cup 1st Qualifying Round

Our FA Cup run for 2019/20 came to an end at Bridge Road this afternoon as league leaders Maldon progressed thanks to a 3-0 win.
Tyrique Hyde gave the Jammers an early lead when he made space for himself in the area and placed a shot past Roach into the far corner. We responded well in a good first half. Max York and Danny Gould were both denied and equaliser by the crossbar and we went in at half time a goal down.
After the break we struggled to find any real rhythm and the visitors doubled their lead with a well taken goal from Kojo Awotwi with 55 minutes gone. Try as we might we couldn’t find a way to test McNamara in the away goal and deep into added time Jorome Slew added a third.
