Farnborough put us to the sword yesterday afternoon and ran out comfortable winners at The Glass World. After a competitive and even first half hour, Nic Ciardini broke the deadlock with a left footed free kick into the far corner. The visitors put the game to bed before half time when Ciardini again struck on 38 minutes before Jack Barton added a third three minutes later.

Any hopes of an unlikely comeback disappeared from sight on the hour when John Onunga fired into the roof of the net to make it 4-0 before Ciardini completed his hat-trick with a penalty after 71 minutes.

The squad will need to bounce back from this disappointment quickly as we travel to Royston Town on Monday afternoon for the big Bank Holiday derby game.
