The Football Association have today released information for the opening rounds of the men’s FA Cup, FA Vase and FA Youth Cup.
FA Cup
Extra Preliminary Round: Saturday August 5th Ipswich Wanderers vs HISTON
Preliminary Round: Saturday August 19th HISTON or Ipswich Wanderers vs Dereham Town or Walsham Le Willows
Lance Key’s side will make the trip to Humber Doucy Lane to take on the newly promoted Wanderers whom The Stutes have not faced for a number of years. Our hosts, led by Mark Goldfinch and James Buckle enjoyed a season to remember last term as they collected the Eastern Counties League, Premier Division title edging out Thetford Town by 7 points. The winners of this tie will face relegated Dereham Town or ECL mainstays Walsham Le Willows.

First Qualifying Round: Saturday August 26th Great Yarmouth Town v HISTON
Second Qualifying Round: HISTON or Great Yarmouth Town v Yaxley or Eynesbury Rovers
An outing on the east coast awaits The Stutes as we head to The Wellesey, home of Great Yarmouth Town. The Bloaters ended the 2022/23 season in 13th place within the Eastern Counties League, Division One North (Step 6).
FA Youth Cup

Preliminary Round: Week commencing September 4th AFC Dunstable vs HISTON
Alfie Oakman will take his side to unfamiliar territory as they visit Creasey Park to face AFC Dunstable. Our hosts completed last season in the Southern Counties Floodlit League, Corinthian Division, finishing in 9th place from 11.
