Chris Nunn has confirmed his new management team for the 2025/26 season and we are very pleased to announce the appointment of Mark Critoph and Matt Payne.

Both Mark and Matt will be familiar to all Stutes supporters and their return will be a big boost for Nunny as he makes his plans for next season.

Mark Critoph was Assistant to Lance Key here for several years and has continued in his role as Groundsman here at Bridge Road sice Lance left the club in September 2023. He has been busy over the last 18 months watching numerous games and keeping a close eye on the local football scene. His coaching skills and knowledge of players both near and far will be invaluable.

Matt Payne initially joined the club in 2016 when he set up our ladies team and he has remained closely involved with that team here at Bridge Road ever since. He is also our Head of Youth, a role he has held for a number of years in which he plays a vital role in buidling and improving our youth development pathway. Matt was also the first manager of our Reserves side when that was reformed at the start of the 2022/23 season before leaving that role to join Ely City as Guy Habbin’s Number 2 last summer, going on to enjoy a fantastic season helping to steer the Robins to the Eastern Counties League Play-Offs. An outstanding coach, Matt is another quality addition to the senior management team.

Nunny is delighted to have Mark and Matt back within the senior First Team set-up and is looking forward to working with them both to push the team forward next season. “It’s great to get Mark and Matt in and together I believe we will form a strong management team for the future. They are both Histon FC people, they both care passionately about the club and both buy in to how we’re trying to build the team. They are great additions to the team and will really help us to push on and achieve our goals for next season and beyond.”

The rest of the management team remains in place with Craig Galbraith continuing in his role as Physio, Micky Hunter as Kit Man and Kyle Nunn as Stats/Data Analyst.
