We face the final two fixtures of our 2024/25 UCL Premier Division South campaign this weekend as Chris Nunn’s side look to end a challenging season on a positive note.  Firstly, we make club history by paying our first ever visit to the Old Northamptonians Sports Ground, which is home to Northampton ON Chenecks.  It is only two months since Connor Barnes scored both goals in our 2-0 win against Chenecks at Bridge Road and a win on Saturday will lift us above our opponents, who we currently trail by just two points in the league table.

Chenecks have enjoyed an encouraging first season back at Step 5, although their form has dipped since their visit to Bridge Road when they were in one of the promotion play-off places.  Their 1-2 win at Godmanchester last weekend ended a run of eight games without a win, during which they have slipped to tenth in the table. But despite their lack of form, the Stutes will need to be wary of their star striker Lewis Irwin, who has found the net 32 times this season, which is only one goal fewer than Victor Osobu of Eynesbury Rovers who currently tops the league’s goalscoring chart.

Kick-off in Northampton is at 3.00pm and admission will cost you just £4, or £3 for concessions.  The postcode for your Sat-Nav is NN1 5RX

Then on Easter Monday, we play our final game of the season when the already relegated Godmanchester Rovers are our visitors.  Games against our foes from up the A14 are always eagerly anticipated, although little other than local bragging rights are resting on the outcome of the game this time around.  Rovers are a side that we have had the upper hand over in previous encounters.  Our record stands at eight wins and only one defeat across our previous league fixtures.  The fixture has been particularly fruitful for Max York, who has scored in each of our previous three fixtures against Rovers.

We won 1-5 at Godmanchester on Boxing Day in front of 295 spectators.  This Monday, the Goddy side is likely to include former Stutes, Mattia D’Angelo, Sam Collison and the fondly remembered Dan Brown, all of which will be out to make an impression on their former employer.  So, despite Rovers having picked up just two points in their last eighteen league matches, nobody will be taking anything for granted.

Fans attending the game on Monday will have the chance to vote for their Player of the Season.  Collect your voting slip as you enter the ground and pop it into the ballot box.  The result of the ballot will be announced in the club bar after the game.

Kick-off on Monday is at 3.00pm.
