On Wednesday evening Lance Key took his side to Recreation Way, visiting Eastern Counties League side, Mildenhall Town. Without skipper Olly Brookes and Andy Ballester, defensive options were looking somewhat different. Our hosts, having made a host of summer signings under new manager Phil Weaver, made a swift start with two goals within the opening fifteen minutes. The first came from the penalty spot, with the second being turned home from a corner. Soon after half time, a third goal came with a shot across the despairing Sam Roach, before the game was put to bed late on with a second goal for Kieran Twinn.
Next up we host tenants Cambridge City at Bridge Road, Saturday 3pm.
