Pre-Season Fixture

Tuesday July 25th

West Wratting v HISTON

Kick Off 6.30pm

Tuesday evening, Lance Key takes his side on the road making the short trip to Cambridgeshire County League, Premier Division side, West Wratting.

Our hosts will likely provide a challenge much different to that of Saturday’s opponents, though much like Lowestoft Town they shall also harbour hopes of competing at the top end of their division. Last season that is exactly what Wratting did, collecting the league title by a margin of six points from their closest competitor, Great Shelford. Within this championship winning campaign, Lee Miller’s side only tasted defeat on two occasions. The vastly experienced Danny Hill topped the goalscoring charts, with Callum Harrison, Finlay Fletcher and Milo Holmes also providing a fruitful return in front of goal.

The Stutes will again be missing a handful of senior players for this tie, with Sam Roach, Max York, Ryan Towner not involved in addition to the injured Ed Rolph and Bubba Camara. This will likely give some more minutes for a number of fringe players, along with a handful of trialists that the management team have been casting their eyes over.

With the United Counties League campaign opening up at Aylestone Park on Saturday, this will be the final fixture of the pre-season campaign. Admission is FREE, with food and drink available within the clubhouse.
