As has already been confirmed, Dan Gleeson has re-signed for this season and will continue in the dual role of player and Assistant Manager. Versatile and experienced midfielder Pat Bexfield has also signed on the dotted line whilst Fallon is delighted to confirm the re-signing of defender Max York who returns to Bridge Road as part of the manager’s rebuilding plans. Fallon has also secured the signature of goalkeeper Niall Conroy-Owen who was with Godmanchester Rovers last season.
The Manager is also delighted to confirm that Matty Allan and Elkanah Sibanda have committed themselves to the club for the coming campaign, both having made their breakthrough into the First Team last season during their final Scholarship year at Histon.
“It’s great that we can start to put a squad together for next season” says Fallon, “the signing of Niall and Max is a great boost as both were in great demand over the summer. Niall was player of the year at Godmanchester and will also help Aaron (Chapman) in his development whilst Max was very good against us last season for Biggleswade and we are very pleased to be able to bring him back to the club. Last years’ scholars have looked very good in pre-season training and we hope to add more signings over the weekend to go alongside Matty and Elks.”
The Gaffer remains in a constant state of negotiation at this time of year of course and spends much of his time on the phone and meeting with players as he builds his squad and more signings are imminent. It is anticipated that further signings will be announced this week ahead of Friday’s game at AFC Sudbury.
