Having joined the club in 2014, Simon Day is the longest serving members of the Stutes pitch-side team.  Simon has many years of coaching experience behind him, much of which spent working with developing youth players.  The former Cambridgeshire County U18’s Manager was recruited by Brian Page and has since served under Steve Fallon as well as current Manager Lance Key.  So, who better to take a subjective look at the 2019/20 squad before planning an arduous, demanding, punishing, even gruelling pre-season schedule ahead of the 20/21 campaign?

PLAYER OF THE YEAR:   Difficult one.  Zukes for his moments of brilliance, Lee who turned the clock back this season, young Alfie stepping up and holding his own at 17 years of age and, of course, Max ever present on balance, I think Mr Histon!

FUNNIEST PLAYER:   George Coy.  Never a dull moment

HARDEST PLAYER:  Evan

BIGGEST MOANER:  Simon Swinton without a doubt

BEST DRESSED:  Simon Swinton

WORST DRESSED:  Dan Brown and the Gaffer’s pant collection

BEST TECHNICALLY:  Lee, with Andreu close behind and better not leave Max out

WORST MOMENT THIS SEASON:
Losing at Bury in the last minute.  What was he thinking!

BEST/FUNNIEST MOMENT THIS SEASON:  Best moment was beating City in front of a great home crowd on Boxing day.  The funniest was Rushden pre-season, watching the lad’s reaction to wearing their under-18’s kit after the gaffer left ours at home.

Simon was sponsored last season by Richard Barlow.
