Histon Football Club is delighted to be opening it’s turnstiles to the next generation of supporters at this Saturday’s fixture against Bugbrooke St Michael’s (Kick Off 3pm), where all children from the villages two Primary Schools have been invited to attend.

Working in partnership with Histon Hornets Football Club, with assistance from their Chairman Steve Carrington, students from both Histon and Impington Brook and Park Primary Schools have been given the opportunity to attend en masse free of charge. A number of children are to be selected to act as a guard of honour, along with a mascots who are to lead the teams out ahead of kick off. There shall also be the opportunity for all children to have a group picture on the Bridge Road pitch at half time.

Club Director, Josh Few comments on the importance of such an initiative; “Increasing the awareness of Histon Football Club to a new and younger audience is key to our success as we strive to progress and increase our fanbase. We hope that the children and their families can embrace the fact that we are a community based, family friendly football club that is committed to increase it’s presence within the local area. All at Bridge Road hope that our additional supporters enjoy Saturday’s game and are encouraged to attend on a more regular basis.”

Please note that Kick Off is now due to be at the later time of 3pm. We very much look forward to welcoming you all to Bridge Road!
