Thurlow Nunn ECL Premier Division
Tuesday 10th April 2018
Kick Off @ 8:00pm

We are back in action again tomorrow night when we travel to Greens Meadow to take on Stowmarket Town.

This promises to be a good one as our hosts sit fourth in the league, four points ahead of us with a game in hand and a win for either side would be a big boost for the victors going into the closing stages of the season.

Stowmarket won at Great Yarmouth on Saturday and are on a superb run of 13 wins from 14 in the league, their only reverse in that run a 1-0 defeat at the hands of Goddy Rovers a couple of weeks ago. That 1-0 win at Yarmouth on Saturday came courtesy of Josh Mayhew’s match winning penalty, his 50th goal of the season equalling the Thurlow Nunn League’s all-time single season goalscoring record.

We’ve been in decent form ourselves of course and recent signing Dan Brown quickly found his way into the scoring charts with a terrific hat-trick on Saturday in only his second game in a Stutes shirt. A no doubt sizeable Histon support tomorrow will be hoping for more of the same from the new Stutes striker whose partnership with Ed Rolph up front is already looking dangerous and caused all sorts of problems for the Wanderers defence.

Max York will miss out again though as he serves the final game of his suspension but Lance has the same squad available tomorrow as he had for Saturday’s thumping 6-1 win.
