Thurlow Nunn ECL Premier Division
Saturday 6th October 2018
Kick Off @ 3:00pm

Tomorrow afternoon we head for Greens Meadow, home of Stowmarket Town as the teams in first and second place in the table meet head on for the first time this season.

This promises to be a great game with both sides enjoying a good start to the season and with 51 league goals between us already we could be in for an action packed afternoon. Our two games last season were tight affairs though with The Old Gold & Blacks having the measure of us at The Glassworld winning 2-0 in September and then again 2-1 at Greens Meadow in April.

Our hosts let a one goal lead slip at Haverhill Rovers last Saturday on their way to a 1-2 defeat but before that had won 3 of their last 4. Talismanic striker Josh Mayhew leads the way again in front of goal with 9 to his name so far this season with Oliver Canfer just behind with 7.

Our own form has been good of course and we have won our last three, including last weekend’s 5-0 demolition of Wroxham at The GW. Ed Rolph’s hat-trick showed a striker in top form and with the equally dangerous Dan Brown alongsde him our own goal threat is considerable. Lance will have the same squad to pick from as last weekend with Pat Bexfield (groin) the only likely absentee.
