SOHAM TOWN RANGERS v HISTON
Pitching In Northern Premier League Midlands Division
Saturday 15th January 2022
Kick off @ 3.00pm

Tomorrow we head to Julius Martin Lane to take on our old rivals Soham in a proper local-derby-6-pointer in the Pitching In Northern Premier League Midlands Division.

With both clubs struggling to adjust to life in this league we are separated by just three points at the foot of the table and whichever team comes out victorious will give their fight for survival a significant boost. Town have made a few changes recently with Matt Clements and Lloyd Groves taking over the managerial reigns and tomorrow’s game will be their first in charge. No time has been wasted in re-shaping the squad with Eniola Agemoh-Davies, Hilton Arthur, Sidik Atcha, Andrew Blake, James Hall and Julien Saka all coming in whilst striker Ben Seyour-Shove moved on to join Spalding United. It’s fair to say that we will be up against a different looking side this time to the one that took all three points home with them from Bridge Road earlier in the season as they look to bring a 14 game winless league run to an end at our expense tomorrow, a run that extends back to that night at our place back in September.

Our team is also somewhat changed since that night though and Lance has been able to build his squad with a couple of additions during that time as well as seeing the long list of walking wounded gradually reducing. The Gaffer could have Ryan Towner available again tomorrow along with Bubba Camara and Evan Key. Bernat Burguera should also be available again although the Spanish midfielder is likely to feature on the bench having not played since getting injured against Sutton Coldfield Town in late August. Manu Ramirez and Victor Garcia both remain out although both are expected back soon to bolster the squad further.

Last time out we again went ahead but couldn’t convert a good position into a winning one as Ben Seymour-Shove’s 75th minute strike cancelled out Ollie Brookes’ 56th minute opener against Spalding United but we continue to put in performances good enough to pick up points in every game.

Tomorrow is a big game and we hope to see plenty of Stutes there to support the team so we’ll see you there!
