Thurlow Nunn ECL Premier Division
Saturday 17th February 2018
Kick Off @ 3:00pm
Tuesday’s win over Great Yarmouth stretched our unbeaten run to 10 games with 28 points picked up along the way and tomorrow we aim to make it 11 unbeaten when we travel to Stoneylands, home of Long Melford FC.
In form strike pair Ed Rolph and Matt Hayden are in amongst the goals at the moment with 12 in the last 5 games between them and Lance will be hoping they continue in that vein of form for a while yet!
Lance has no new injury worries ahead of tomorrow’s game but Tuesday night’s victory came on a heavy and energy sapping pitch so he may need to make late decisions regarding one or two players. Charlie Brown continues to return to fitness and has suffered no adverse reaction to the 20 minutes or so he got from the bench on Tuesday whilst Tommy Wright is close to a return now after sitting out the last 4 games with a thigh injury and may be involved. Will Lawton (knee) however remains out.
Our hosts have 40 points from their 35 games so far and sit in 15th place in the table. Recent form is good with 3 wins and a draw from their last 5 games but those results show just how unpredictable this division can be. Impressive wins over Newmarket Town and away at Brantham Athletic were followed up by a 1-5 home thumping at the hands of Ely City last weekend.
