Thurlow Nunn ECL Premier Division
Saturday 15th September 2018
Kick Off @ 3:00pm
We head for Long Melford tomorrow afternoon as we return to league action, ready to put Tuesday’s FA Cup disappointment behind us.
This will be our fifth league game of the season and, surprisingly, our second against Long Melford as we have already hosted them at The Glassworld this season! That game was early last month and we had to come from behind to dig out a 2-1 win thanks to a second half own goal and a cracking strike from distance by Simon Swinton late in the game.
Our 100% league record sees us sitting third in the league table at the moment behind Stowmarket Town and Kirley & Pakefield but we have three games in hand on both and a positive result tomorrow will kep the pressure on those around us.
Our last visit to Stoneylands came in February and we were beaten 2-1, Joe Sutton’s late goal not enough for a share of the points.
Lance reports a few knocks and niggles amongst the squad and may need to leave his team selection decisions to the last minute but Joe Sutton should be back in contention, as should Danny Gould.

Driving time from The Glassworld Stadium approx: 1 hour (43 miles)
Long Melford is located in Suffolk, 3 miles north of Sudbury.
The ground is signposted “Sports Ground” from the main road (Hall Street) at the southern end of Long Melford. Take either Liston Lane or St Catherine’s Road (on left if approaching from Sudbury or right if approaching from Bury St. Edmunds direction).
At the bottom of either of these roads turn right and New Road will be straight ahead of you, Stoneylands can then be found on your right.
