HISTON v WISBECH TOWN
Pitching In Northern Premier League Midlands Division
Saturday 9th April 2022
Kick off @ 3.00pm

Match sponsored by the Vic Wells & Les Pawley
Match Ball sponsored Paul Smart & James Smart

Two games at The Bridge left this season and with points absolutely essential for both clubs, tomorrow’s game against Wisbech Town is a big one to say the least. Although our visitors cannot now reach the safety of 17th place they are still very much in the hunt for the lifeline of a play-off that will decide who stays at Step 4 for another year. In order to achieve that though they need to catch the team that currently occupy that position and that team is us, with a 6 point lead over the Fenmen and only three games remaining after this one.

The battle for that play-off place isn’t just between ourselves and Wisbech of course, Soham Town Rangers are well and truly in the mix too and this race is going to go all the way to the finish line. Rangers host Spalding United on Saturday and every point is going to be gold dust for each club, with Wisbech also facing Soham in the run-in on Easter Monday.

Last weekend saw all three sides drew a blank with defeats on the road but all three will see this weekend’s games as opportunities for points.

Lance was able to welcome Andy Ballester back into action last weekend when the defender replaced Evan Key in the first half at Halesowen. The Spaniard came through unscathed and is available for Saturday but Evan will be assessed before kick off. Danny Gould and Luke Lindsay remain out but Ollie Brookes is available again after illness kept him out last week.

This is going to be a big game so please help us to speed up entry into the ground by getting your tickets in advance through our online ticket site here. Once you have an eTicket it’s just a simple scan when you get here and you’re in, no more standing in the cash turnstile queue! We are also able to take contactless payment but if you want to pay cash then that is fine too, just remember that the cash turnstile can get a bit busy as we near kick-off so try and get here in good time.

See you there!

Kick-off at 3pm.

Turnstiles open at 1.30pm

Tickets available here.
