Thurlow Nunn ECL Premier Division
Saturday 2th December 2018
Kick Off @ 3:00pm

For our last game of 2018 we welcome Walsham Le Willows to The Glassworld Stadium tomorrow afternoon as we look to continue our winning run and keep the pressure on our rivals at the top of the table.

Our last game against the Willows was at their place in September when goals from Ed Rolph and Matt Green gave us an early advantage before the hosts levelled it up in the second half. With 10 minutes left however Green grabbed another to give us the points from an entertaining game. We also won at The Meadow last season when an early own goal put us ahead before Tommy Wright and Matt Hayden also struck to secure a 3-1 win. It was a different story at The Glassworld in April though as we found ourselves 2 down at half time and 3 down soon after the break. Two quick fire goals from Max York and Lee Smith got us back into it and made for an interesting last 20 minutes but we weren’t able to get the equaliser.

Currently our visitors tomorrow are in fine form having won 7 of their last 10 league games, a run that sees them sitting in 4th place in the table. Their only defeats in that run came against Woodbridge Town (0-4) and Godmanchester Rovers (1-2) and they will present a stern test for us tomorrow. Jack Brame is regularly on the scoresheet and has 17 for the season so far including 3 from his last 4 starts.

Lance was pleased with how the team battled to get a result at Newmarket on Boxing Day in a tough local derby and will likely go into tomorrow’s game with the same squad at his disposal. Returning forward Salim Relizani made his second Histon debut from the bench in that game as we made it 8 wins in a row in all competitions and tomorrow we go looking to make it 9 before hosting Lye Town in the FA Vase 4th Round next Saturday.

Kick Off is at 3:00pm
