Thurlow Nunn ECL Premier Division
Saturday 24th March 2018
Kick Off @ 3:00pm

Tomorrrow we entertain Thetford Town at The Glassworld Stadium in our next ECL Premier Division game.

Our 0-0 draw at Kirkley & Pakefield last weekend made it three clean sheets in a row and kept us right up there pushing the top 3 but tomorrow’s visitors will provide a stern test. Beaten only once in their last 5 league games the Brecklanders come to The Glassworld in mid-table but with every chance of pushing up into the top 10 and full of confidence after reaching the League Cup Final earlier this week having beaten Stanway Rovers 2-0 Tuesday night. Strike pair Max Melanson and Robbie Priddle have over 20 goals each to their name and will be looking to be the first to breach the Stutes defence since mid-February.

For our part, Lance will be without skipper Max York who starts a three game suspension tomorrow after being sent off at Godmanchester last week. Young defender Mirko Garcia will also be out for some time after breaking his foot for the Under 18’s on Monday whilst long term absentee Will Lawton remains out.

Other than that the Gaffer has no further injury or suspension concerns and has been pleased with the determination and willingness to fight for every point shown in recent weeks. Lance also expects to add a couple of new faces to the squad this evening ready for tomorrow’s game.

With Godmanchester playing Stowmarket tomorrow we have an opportunity to improve our chances of getting into the top 3 and Lance will be demanding that recent good form continues come kick off.
