Buildbase FA Vase 5th Round
Saturday 2nd February 2019
Kick Off @ 3:00pm

We’re back in FA Vase action tomorrow when our old adversaries from the Conference days Northwich Victoria are our visitors for this 5th Round tie with a place in the quarter finals up for grabs.

First thing to note is that there will be a pitch inspection tomorrow morning, the result of which will be made public by 7.30am. The pitch is currently playable although very wet but we are hopeful that the game will go ahead as planned so keep an eye on Twitter and Facebook for updates as soon as we know the outcome.

On to the game then and many of you will remember tomorrow’s opponents from our time in the Conference National where we last met in the league in the 2008-09 season, coming out on top 2-1 both home and away. Since then of course both clubs have been through some tough times but we’re both starting to look forward to better times ahead.

Vics have been adding players to their squad ahead of tomorrow’s game as both Lewis Brownhill and Michael Roddy have this week signed on the dotted line to strengthen the Trickies’ squad.

Our Gaffer is no stranger to our opponents tomorrow as Lance spent over two years there as a player, appearing more than 50 times for them between 1998 and 2001 and it’s no surprise that he’s looking forward to this one! He will have a few selection decisions to make though as he has a full squad to choose from for the first time in a while.

This is going to be a cracker of a game so get along to The Glassworld, kick off @ 3:00pm weather permitting. Don’t forget to keep an eye open on Twitter or Facebook for updates at around 7.30am in the morning.
