Histon v Kirkley & Pakefield
Saturday 19th August 2017
Kick Off @ 3:00pm

We welcome Kirkley & Pakefield to The Glassworld Stadium on Saturday afternoon as Lance and the team aim to keep their unbeaten start to the seaason going after notching up 8 points from the opening four games.

The Royals have had a tough start to the season, with all three games at their own Walmer Road ground so far. Beaten by Saffron Walden Town in The FA Cup in their first game of the season, they followed this up by hosting Gorlseton and Haverhill Rovers, conceding 4 against each of those teams, both of whom are much fancied to go well this season.

Our own early form has been encouraging of course despite picking up a number of niggly injuries in the opening week or two that has already put some strain on the squad. Joe Sutton was fit enough to make an impact from the bench in Tuesday’s draw at Saffron Walden although Lee Smith was an unused sub but Lance will be hoping to be able to call on both on Saturday. Evan Key’s goalscoring exploits continued on Tuesday evening and the midfielder already has 4 to his name this season, more of the same on Saturday would be most welcome!
