Thurlow Nunn ECL Premier Division
Saturday 23rd February 2019
Kick Off @ 3:00pm

Tomorrow we welcome Kirkley & Pakefield to The Glassworld Stadium as we start a run of 4 home games in 11 days.

Our visit to Kirkley earlier this season didn’t end well as the game was abandoned when Kirkley’s Dylan Blades was injured although thankfully the injury didn’t turn out to be as serious as first feared.

Last season the game at The Glassworld ended in a 2-2 draw after Lee Smith’s brace earned us a point. The game at Kirkley’s Walmer Road ground in March ended in a 0-0 draw and tomorrow’s game will no doubt be another close one.

The Royals’ recent form has been a bit patchy and their last two league games have ended in defeat at the hands of FC Clacton (2-3) and Whitton United (5-3) and their league position has slipped a little, they are now 8th in the table with 44 points from 26 games.

Lance will be able to call on Matt Green again as the influential midfielder has completed his suspension after being sent off against Northwich Victoria in the Vase earlier this month. Defender James Chivers is also nearing a return and may be in line for selection again after missing out for the last few games.

Kick off is at 3:00pm.
