BetVictor Isthmian League North
Saturday 26th October 2019
Kick Off @ 3:00pm
Our visitors tomorrow afternoon are Hullbridge Sports as we get back to league action after Tuesday night’s Velocity Trophy draw with Soham Town Rangers which saw us remain at the top of the Group 3 table with only a trip to Hertford Town still to come on 6th November.
Sports sit 9th in the North Division league table, just ahead of us on goal difference and a win would keep either side nicely positioned in the top half. Their recent league form has been good with only one defeat in their last six games and a 1-1 draw away at Dereham last week their latest result. Yemi Ogunfunmilade leads the way for goals scored with 6 so far including 3 in his last 4 games.
Our own form remains inconsistent as Lance juggles his squad around injuries to key players. Midfielder Lee Smith is close to a return to action now though and could make the squad tomorrow. Evan Key isn’t far away either whilst Lewis McDonald remains 2 to 3 weeks from being back in contention. The manager added left sided defender/midfielder George Coy to the squad last week and has been rewarded with two promising performances from the 23 year old so far with youth teamers Alfie Lawrence, Christian Carter, Cory Marshall, Lewis Mair, Brian-Jeffrey Alihonou and Daniel Pieterson all seeing first team action in recent weeks and all making a case to remain in the managers’ thoughts.
Kick off is at 3:00pm.
