Thurlow Nunn ECL Premier Division
Saturday 23rd March 2019
Kick Off @ 3:00pm
Tuesday night’s last kick of the game winner at FC Clacton extended our lead at the top of the table to 12 points with just 5 weeks and 9 games to go and tomorrow we travel again, this time to Gorleston as we look to maintain that lead.
It’s less than 3 weeks since Gorleston visited us at The Glassworld and, as on Tuesday at Clacton, Dan Brown put us ahead in the first half but we needed the skipper in the last minute to grab the winner as we came out 2-1 victors.
Our last visit to Gorleston’s Emerald Park came in our penultimate game of last season when Ed Rolph’s first half goal was enough to secure us a point.
Our hosts have lost three on the spin now (including that visit to The GW earlier this month) with their last home game a 2-4 reverse at the hands of Thetford Town. They are in a comforatble mid-table position though and will be keen to repay us for that recent late defeat. With Connor Ingram and Peter Lambert both in double figures for the season they will offer a threat to a Histon defence that has kept 4 clean sheets in the last 6 games.
Driving time from The Glassword Stadium approx: 1 hour 45 minutes (88 miles)
NOTE: you will not be able to access Emerald Park from the A47 end of Woodfarm Lane, please approach from the Oriel Avenue direction.
