Thurlow Nunn ECL Premier Division
Saturday 30th Decemer 2017
Kick Off @ 3:00pm
Our last game of 2017 sees us travel to Clipbush Park, home of Fakenham Town FC as we look to build on the momentum of two good wins either side of Christmas and continue our push towards the top 6 in the table.
Boxing Day’s superb 6-0 win away at Ely made it back to back league wins for us and 6 wins from our last 8 games, a run that has put us in 10th place in the table but with games in hand on many of the teams above us. Lance will have Evan Key available for selection again after suspension and hopes to be able to call on Danny Gould after the midfielder failed a late fitness test on Tuesday. Joe Sutton was back in the squad on Tuesday but only fit enough for the bench as he continues his return to fitness after a hamstring injury.
Our hosts have had a tough season so far to say the least and tomorrow’s game will be the first for new manager Andy Cunningham. The Ghosts sit 22nd in the table at the moment but have games in hand on the teams around them. After back to back wins at the end of November looked to have signalled a change in fortunes, a run of 4 straight defeats in December has kept them in the bottom 3. However, those 4 games were all away from home whilst their last 4 games at Clipbush Park have yielded 2 wins and a draw.
Saturday’s game is a pay-what-you-want admission game so why not join the travelling Stutes!!
Driving time from The Glassworld Stadium: approx 1 hour 20 mins (63miles).
