CORBY TOWN v HISTON
Pitching In Northern Premier League Midlands Division
Saturday 5th March 2022
Kick off @ 3.00pm

As everybody in football says seemingly every week, we go again! Tomorrow, all being well, we will head up the A14 to take on Corby Town after the initial fixture was postponed due to a Saturday lunchtime monsoon a couple of weeks ago.

Stutes supporters won’t need reminding of the many previous meetings between the two teams (especially this season!) but a trip to Steel Park is always a good one with a sizeable and noisy home support waiting for us and some tasty Scotch pies in the food hut.

We both had different ways of getting a result last weekend with the Steel Men’s 3-0 half-time lead being wiped out after the break to leave them with only a point from their visit to Sporting Khalsa whilst we did it the other way, coming from 2-0 down to grab a valuable late point at The Bridge against Shepshed Dynamo.

There are often goals in these games, 21 in the last 5, although we have to go back ten years until we last won there when Dan Holman and Matthew Breeze were on the scoresheet for us in a 2-0 Conference North win in February 2012.

Lance has no new injury concerns going into this game and will still be without Andy Ballester and Danny Gould amongst others but Lee Smith returned to action as a second-half sub last weekend and should make the squad again for this game.
